OpenAI is hiring a Lab Operations Manager for its Consumer Devices Systems Integration team in San Francisco, on-site. The job is to run a large consumer device test lab: manage device fleets and inventory, maintain racks, benches, test rigs, cabling, power, networking and peripherals, provision and reset devices, and support test automation, diagnostics and failure reproduction. The posting seeks experience operating hardware, electronics, reliability, manufacturing or QA test labs, managing consumer electronics fleets, and troubleshooting device connectivity. The lab operating model is new and being shaped early.
