OpenAI is hiring a planning lead for its first-party hardware systems team in San Francisco; the role is on-site and full-time. The person owns the integrated demand, supply and deployment plan for OpenAI's own AI infrastructure: weekly supply reviews, delta reports, forecast-versus-commit gap tracking, XPU requirements, site power timing and recovery plans, worked across hardware engineering, infrastructure, supply chain, manufacturing, deployment and finance. The posting wants significant hardware or supply planning experience, weekly integrated plans, and cross-functional program leadership; AI infrastructure, hyperscale data center and semiconductor experience is preferred.
