OpenAI's Consumer Products team is hiring a hardware engineer in Singapore, hybrid with four days a week in the office and relocation support. The role covers designing, prototyping and validating mechanical and electrical subsystems for new AI-driven consumer devices, plus DFM/DFA reviews, system-level debugging and supplier work from prototype builds to mass production. Occasional travel to manufacturing partners is expected. It asks for six or more years in consumer hardware or electronics, cross-disciplinary strength in mechanical, electrical or systems engineering, and one product taken from concept to production.
