Waymo's Hardware Engineering group is hiring a vehicle platform architect to shape the packaging and layout of future autonomous vehicle platforms. The role works with product, design, systems and attribute teams on package targets, resolves conflicting requirements through CAD geometry and section analysis, and presents concepts to OEM partners and executives. It asks for 10+ years in automotive engineering, 5+ in vehicle architecture and full vehicle layout, OEM/supplier negotiation experience, and Catia proficiency. Global travel to OEM sites runs about 10%.
