OpenAI's Data Acquisition team, part of its Foundations organization, collects data for model training and runs web crawling and GPTBot services. This full-stack engineering role builds internal tools, dashboards and APIs that support that collection, with backend work on performance, scalability and security in distributed systems, plus Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code deployment. The posting asks for a BS/MS/PhD in computer science, four or more years of full-stack experience, React or similar frontends, Python, Node.js or Go backends, SQL and NoSQL design. Web-crawling experience is a plus.
