xAI is hiring an Expert Team Lead for its Human Data operation. The role leads a team of AI Tutors, both employees and contractors, who produce and review training data and evaluations for the company's models. Duties include hands-on labeling and review, quality assurance, taxonomy management, performance reviews, coaching, certification and training materials, and tracking quality and throughput metrics. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in an engineering field, two years of engineering practice or a master's degree, basic AI/ML understanding, and experience with annotation workflows or data-labeling teams.
