Zoox is hiring an engineering manager for its Middleware Transport team in Foster City, California, on-site. The team owns the self-driving stack's data path end to end: in-vehicle publish/subscribe and RPC messaging, inter-process and inter-host transport, the vehicle's internal network, vehicle-to-cloud connectivity, and the transport and serialization abstractions other teams build on. The manager owns the roadmap and release commitments and spends much time with firmware, product security, simulation, manufacturing and IT partners. Hard latency and reliability budgets, degraded links and congested networks define the work.
