Scale AI seeks an Engineering Manager for its Frontier AI Infrastructure team in Public Sector Engineering. The role is 50/50: half hands-on coding, half leading, coaching, and growing a small team of engineers. The team owns the model inference layer, including model enablement, debugging AI tools, networking, latency, and pricing/usage metrics, and partners with Product and customers. Requirements include 1–2+ years managing software engineers, an active Secret clearance, and willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI with CI Poly. Work is onsite in Washington, DC, 3–4 days weekly. Salary: $213,600–$267,000 USD.
