Baseten runs inference for AI companies, and this role manages its Cloud Platform team. The manager hires, coaches and grows cloud platform engineers, drives design and code reviews, sets reliability and operational standards, and acts as escalation point for major incidents. The posting wants direct people-management experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering or SRE, deep hands-on Kubernetes work, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD familiarity, and end-to-end project delivery. ML experience is not required; GPU and multi-cloud backgrounds are a plus. This is a first-line manager role, not managing managers.
