xAI is hiring electrical engineers for its Memphis-area AI supercomputing sites. The role covers one or more areas: battery energy storage (BESS, PCS, controls), high-voltage transmission (lines, substations, grid interconnection) and on-site gas turbine generation. Duties include single-line diagrams, protection and relay settings, power system studies in ETAP or PSS/E, standards compliance (NERC, ERCOT, IEEE, NEC), commissioning and FMEA. A bachelor's in electrical engineering is required. Work is full-time onsite with up to 50% travel, hands-on conditions and lifting up to 25lb.
