Nscale is hiring a Director of Substation & Grid Engineering to own substation and grid design standards across its data center portfolio, covering transformers, switchgear, protection and metering. The role leads load and generator interconnection applications and studies with utilities, ISOs/RTOs and transmission owners, manages a team of staff engineers, and supports utility development and power procurement. It requires a bachelor's in electrical engineering, 8-12+ years in substation, protection and controls, or grid engineering, and prior interconnection experience. A PE license and AI/GPU data center design are preferred.
