OpenAI's hardware group is hiring design verification engineers for its custom silicon for machine-learning accelerators. The work covers verifying IP blocks, subsystems such as compute, interconnect and memory, and full-chip SoC functionality. Duties include writing verification plans from architecture specs, building SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, stimulus generators, checkers and scoreboards, running regressions, and driving bug triage with design teams. The posting asks for a BS/MS and three or more years of hardware verification experience, plus familiarity with coherency, interconnects or ML compute primitives.
