Anthropic's Safeguards Data Science and Analytics team seeks a data scientist, an early member who will help set analytical foundations for safety work on its AI products. The role covers defining metrics and goals, forecasting, monitoring, reporting, and designing controlled experiments, plus analyzing user behavior for safety concerns and recommending enforcement changes. It works with product, engineering, policy and enforcement teams. Requirements include Python, SQL and visualization tools, comfort with ambiguity, and prior analytics experience in infrastructure, operations, product, safety, anti-abuse or integrity settings.
