OpenAI's Robotics team is hiring a control systems engineer for a foundational, hands-on role building the control infrastructure behind reliable robot behavior. Work covers real-time control algorithms, motion control, feedback loops, state estimation, actuator control and subsystem tuning, plus defining control architecture from low-level hardware interfaces up to whole-robot policy. Much of it happens onsite with real robots, debugging and running experiments alongside hardware and ML teams.
