Amazon Ads is hiring an applied scientist for its General Shopping Intelligence team, part of Sponsored Products and Brands, onsite in Seattle. The work involves large language models and generative AI to mine shopper data, build intent and preference models, deploy them into real-time production systems, and run A/B experiments. Candidates need three or more years building models for business applications, a PhD or a master's with four years' experience, and Java, C++ or Python. Applied research into fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation and agentic workflows is part of the job.
