OpenAI's Applied AI Engineering team is hiring an enterprise-focused applied AI engineer in São Paulo, hybrid. The role pairs directly with large customers to select use cases, design architectures, then build and deploy AI systems in code — prototypes, evaluation harnesses, integrations and production accelerators — through to launch and scale. Candidates need a track record shipping AI or ML systems to production, strong Python, and systematic evaluation practice. Distinctive: heavy hands-on engineering plus customer-facing ownership, and deployment lessons fed back into OpenAI's products.
