A four-month, full-time fellowship for people moving into AI research and engineering. Fellows choose a project with a mentor and work on external infrastructure — open-source models and public APIs — toward a public output such as a paper. Workstreams cover ML systems (accelerator backends, CPU simulation, synthetic data pipelines) and reinforcement learning (RL algorithms, environments, training data). Candidates need fluent Python, strong software engineering, and work authorization in the US, UK or Canada. Weekly stipend is 3,850 USD / 2,310 GBP / 4,300 CAD, with compute funding.
