A 2027 summer internship at Waymo for Master's or PhD students, in San Francisco. The intern runs machine-learning modeling experiments and prototypes evaluation tools, writes code in Waymo's simulator and evaluation systems, and designs statistical experiments testing ML discriminators, collaborating with onboard teams and safety and simulation stakeholders. The posting asks for C++ or Python, core computer science fundamentals, ML and statistics grounding, and familiarity with distributed systems and accelerated computing; physics, robotics, or physical AI experience and SQL are preferred.
