Waymo's Systems Engineering team is hiring a 2027 summer intern to keep release-critical simulation tests running and healthy. The intern traces failures to root cause with simulation engineers, writes automation and infrastructure that flags problems early, builds dashboards and alerts across hundreds of tests, and sets up processes to catch issues sooner. Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor's or master's in engineering, computer science, robotics or a similar technical field, with strong debugging and Python or C++ coding. Preferred: SLO and SRE knowledge, Python/SQL glue code, distributed-system debugging. Hybrid, San Francisco.
