Runna Ltd.
AI-personalized running training plans that adapt pace targets and volume week to week, pushed straight to your GPS watch.

Runna was founded in 2021 by Dom Maskell, a McKinsey alum, and Ben Parker, a seven-time Ironman finisher who became Runna's head coach, after Maskell first hired Parker as his personal running coach. The London company launched publicly in March 2022 with a simple premise: replace generic PDF training plans with an app that builds a periodized program around a runner's goal race, current fitness, and weekly availability, then adjusts pace targets as results come in. The app pushes full workout structure — intervals, pace zones, rest — directly to Garmin, Apple Watch, COROS, Suunto, and Fitbit, so runners can follow a session without checking their phone mid-run. Runna raised roughly $10 million total, including a 2023 round backed by Eka Ventures, JamJar Investments, and angel investors including Joe Wicks, before Strava announced its acquisition of the company in April 2025. Runna was a finalist for Apple's 2024 App of the Year and continues to operate as a standalone app under Strava.
