Metaview was founded in 2018 by Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, former product and engineering leads at Uber and Palantir, and is headquartered in London. The company started by solving a narrow but real problem in recruiting: interviewers take inconsistent notes, or none at all, making it hard to compare candidates fairly or defend hiring decisions later. Metaview's core product joins video and phone interviews to automatically produce structured notes, scorecards, and summaries that sync back into ATS platforms like Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and Gem, without a recruiter or hiring manager needing to type during the conversation. The company has since expanded toward agentic recruiting features, including tools that source and reach out to candidates and schedule screening calls with less manual recruiter involvement, positioning itself as an AI layer across the whole hiring workflow rather than just the interview stage. Metaview raised a $35 million Series B led by GV (Google Ventures) in 2025, with participation from Plural, Vertex Ventures, Seedcamp, and Coelius Capital, bringing its total funding to roughly $50 million.
