Forethought

Multi-agent AI platform that triages, resolves, and quality-checks customer support tickets end to end.

Forethought

Forethought was started in San Francisco in 2017 by Deon Nicholas and Sami Ghoche, and won TechCrunch Disrupt in 2018 with an early ticket-triage tool before expanding into a broader customer support automation suite. Over its life as an independent company it raised more than $115 million, including a $25 million growth round in April 2025, and built out a set of purpose-built agents named Solve, Triage, Discover, and Agent QA that work alongside human support teams inside existing helpdesks. In March 2026, Zendesk announced its intent to acquire Forethought, and the deal closed later that month in what Zendesk described as its largest acquisition in nearly two decades. The product line continues to operate under the Forethought name for both Zendesk and non-Zendesk customers, now folded into Zendesk's broader push toward autonomous resolution on its Resolution Platform.
