Blip
Brazilian conversational AI platform running chatbot and human-agent hybrid service for banks, telcos and retailers over WhatsApp, Instagram and more.

Blip traces back to 1999, when Roberto Oliveira, Marcelo Oliveira and Antonio Oliveira started a business messaging company called Take.net in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, originally built around SMS. In 2014 the team introduced what it called Intelligent Contact, an architecture that lets a single customer contact persist across every channel a brand uses, and that idea became the backbone of the company's shift into conversational AI. The company rebranded from Take Blip to simply Blip in 2021 as its chatbot and virtual-agent business overtook its legacy messaging roots. Today Blip operates as an enterprise conversational AI platform used by banks, insurers, telecom operators and retailers across Brazil and other Latin American markets, connecting brands to customers over WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, RCS, Apple Messages for Business and other channels. The company reports tens of billions of messages processed and well over 100,000 chatbots built on its platform, and is an official partner of Meta, Google, Apple and Microsoft for business messaging. Blip raised a $70 million round from Warburg Pincus in 2022 and a further $60 million Series C in November 2024 with Warburg Pincus, SoftBank and Microsoft participating, putting its total disclosed funding above $200 million. Roberto Oliveira remains CEO, and the company is headquartered in Belo Horizonte with additional offices in Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Madrid.
