Yi
Yi is 01.AI’s open-source, bilingual language-model family with local deployment options and an OpenAI-compatible API.
Yi provides large language models for chat, text generation, translation, summarization, reasoning, mathematics, coding, tool use, and image understanding. Developers can run models locally or access them through 01.AI’s API platform.
The project is aimed at developers, researchers, businesses, and users building language or vision applications. Local model code and weights are available under stated licenses; API use is metered by input and output tokens, and commercial or hosted deployments may require separate arrangements.
