Viking-13B is a decoder-only text-generation model from LumiOpen. It supports Finnish, English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic, and code, and is distributed as an Apache 2.0 model on Hugging Face.
The model can be loaded with Transformers or served locally with vLLM, SGLang, or Docker using an OpenAI-compatible API. It is a partially trained base model, so most applications require further fine-tuning. The weights are free; Hugging Face hosting, inference, storage, or compute may cost extra.
