“Revenue isn’t built in a single sales call. It’s built across a relationship — every signal a customer sends, every conversation a seller has, and every action that follows adds valuable context.”
Linda Lian, GM of Common Room and Zoom Revenue Accelerator at Zoom
Zoom is extending its sales software beyond conversation analysis with two new AI capabilities aimed at the work that happens before and after a customer call. The company announced Engage and Forecast on September 15, 2026, alongside the availability of Common Room by Zoom, describing the combined offering as an AI-powered revenue operating system.
The company’s plan links buyer intelligence, customer conversations, outreach, and forecasting in one workflow. Zoom says the system is intended to follow a prospect from an early, anonymous signal through pipeline creation, conversion, and expansion, rather than treating each stage as a separate application.
Zoom’s announcement presents the release as an expansion of Zoom Revenue Accelerator, its sales technology platform built around meeting and call data. Pricing for the new Elite package was not disclosed in the announcement.
Engage turns buyer signals into sales tasks
Engage creates structured sales sequences across email, phone, and other tasks. It prioritizes follow-up for sellers and uses automated triggers to determine which prospects should receive attention and when.
The feature draws on buyer and customer information supplied by Common Room by Zoom. That product connects signals from sources including product usage, digital activity, online communities, and customer engagement systems. Zoom says the data can help teams identify opportunities, prioritize accounts, and flag possible expansion or churn risks.
Engage also works with Zoom’s existing Auto Dialer, which remains available as a separate product. Sequence analytics are designed to show which outreach approaches produce results, giving teams a way to compare different follow-up patterns instead of relying only on activity counts.
Forecast connects commitments to individual deals
Forecast is designed to turn deal-level signals into a live view of expected revenue. Sales leaders can move from company commitments to individual teams, sellers, and opportunities, then track how those figures change over time.
Zoom says revenue operations teams can configure forecast views, metrics, and calculations without engineering support. They can also write commitment and deal updates back to a customer relationship management system.
The product’s main distinction is its connection to Zoom Revenue Accelerator. Leaders can review a forecast alongside the conversation and deal history behind it, including what buyers discussed, which objections surfaced, and what actions were agreed. That structure is intended to give managers more context than a forecast number alone.
Common Room supplies the upstream data
Common Room provides the buyer-intelligence layer in Zoom’s plan. Zoom announced an agreement to acquire the company in July 2026, saying its platform could unify customer data and buying signals before a sales conversation takes place. Financial terms for that transaction were not disclosed.
Common Room by Zoom is now available for purchase through Zoom, while both Common Room and Zoom Revenue Accelerator remain available as standalone products. The arrangement gives Zoom a way to connect pre-call account activity with the calls, meetings, follow-up, and deal tracking already handled by its revenue software.
In practical terms, the company is trying to place more of the sales process around the customer conversation. Signals about account activity can inform outreach, outreach can produce a meeting, and the meeting can add evidence to the forecast. Zoom describes that cycle as a continuing flow from buyer signals to actions and deal outcomes.
Zoom packages Engage and Forecast in ZRA Elite
Zoom Revenue Accelerator now has three tiers: Essentials, Premium, and Elite. The new Elite offering combines the Premium package with Engage and Forecast, while Common Room by Zoom can be added for buyer and customer intelligence across the revenue lifecycle.
Zoom is positioning the release against the problem of fragmented sales software. In a July announcement, the company cited IDC research saying 34% of sales executives ranked better interoperability between separate systems as the top driver of their sales initiatives, while 28% identified reducing the number of systems and vendors as their highest priority.
The company also cited results from customer Barracuda Networks, which reported a 15% increase in deals closed, 5% faster deal velocity, and sales representatives reaching between 100% and 140% of quota while using Zoom Revenue Accelerator. Those figures are customer-reported results included in Zoom’s announcement, not an independent evaluation of Engage or Forecast.
A broader sales platform built around Zoom calls
Zoom’s announcement puts customer conversations at the center of its sales strategy. The company says those conversations contain information about buyer priorities, objections, decision-makers, next steps, and factors that could accelerate or stall an opportunity.
That approach gives Zoom a defined point of difference: it can use data from Meetings and Phone as part of a wider sales workflow, rather than limiting AI to summaries or coaching prompts. Engage and Forecast extend that workflow into prospecting and management reporting.
The release does not include pricing or a detailed general-availability schedule for every new capability. It does establish Zoom’s product direction clearly: Common Room supplies buyer signals, Engage turns those signals into outreach, and Forecast ties the resulting activity and conversations to revenue commitments.
