Siena’s $17 million round backs a broader customer platform

Siena announced a $17 million Series A on October 6, 2026, to expand its AI customer-experience platform beyond support conversations. York IE led the round, with participation from Joyance Ventures and existing investors Aglaé Ventures and Sierra Ventures. The financing brings Siena’s total funding to $29.7 million.

The company says it wants to become an “Agent of Record” for consumer brands: a shared intelligence layer that gives customer-facing agents, internal agents and human teams a common picture of the customer. Siena plans to use the new capital to develop more autonomous agents and expand the infrastructure brands use to support customers and grow revenue. The announcement did not disclose a company valuation or other financing terms.

One customer history for support, shopping and social

Siena’s product lineup includes Shopping and Social agents, alongside voice agents and customer-service tools. The company says its Shopping Agent answers questions, recommends products and can complete purchases inside a conversation. Its Social Agent handles moderation, community engagement and support through comments and direct messages, while a shared inbox lets human staff work alongside AI agents.

The proposed connective layer, Siena Intelligence, brings together customer conversations, orders, subscriptions, reviews, loyalty data and brand knowledge. A customer’s reason for returning an item, for example, could shape a later product recommendation; patterns in many returns could point to a recurring product issue. Siena says agents can add what customers asked for, what action the agent took and whether it helped, so another agent or a human team can use that history.

“Support, shopping and social may be different departments inside a company. To the customer, they’re one relationship.”

Lisa Popovici, cofounder and president of Siena, in the Business Wire announcement

The idea extends beyond customer support. Siena says customer-insights teams, analysts, quality-assurance teams and executives can use its data to investigate customer needs and operational problems, while marketers can apply those findings to campaigns. In that model, information gathered during service interactions can inform both a future customer interaction and decisions elsewhere in the business.

Customer results come with company-reported metrics

Siena says hundreds of consumer brands use its platform, naming FIGS, SPANX, Comfrt and HexClad. Across its customer deployments, it says the system automates up to 80% of customer interactions. The announcement presents that figure as a maximum across deployments, not as a result shared by every customer.

The release also describes three customer examples. Siena says Eskiin’s Social Agent raised weekly comment engagement by 50% and freed 15 hours a week for its social lead. At Coterie, the company says a customer-analysis task that once took weeks became a ten-minute query with Ask Siena; at SPANX, it says Siena Intelligence helped trace a rise in shipping complaints to one carrier issue affecting nearly every delivery in a region.

York IE sees a role beyond customer support

Tom Holahan, a general partner at York IE, framed the investment around linking service, sales and retention through customer intelligence. “Siena is rebuilding the customer experience stack around customer intelligence, connecting how brands serve, sell to and retain their customers,” he said in the announcement. He added that York IE believes the platform could become as essential to running a brand as its commerce platform.

Siena cofounder and CEO Andrei Negrau described the funding as support for a larger ambition: agents that can draw on the same customer context across the journey, while passing what they learn to the people running the brand. For now, the company’s concrete case rests on a product spanning support, shopping, social and voice, its stated customer examples, and the $17 million it has secured to expand that system.
