Oleria Launches AI-Built Connectors for Identity Governance

Oleria says its new AI tool can turn an application’s API documentation into a governance-ready connector in about a day, bringing identities and access data into the company’s security platform without custom connector code. The Bellevue, Washington, company launched Integration Studio on October 23, describing it as a way to extend identity governance to applications outside its existing connector catalog.

From API documentation to access reviews

Customers give Integration Studio a link to an application’s API documentation and choose the depth of governance they want. An AI research agent works through authentication, endpoints and pagination, then maps users, groups, service accounts, API tokens, AI agents and entitlements to Oleria’s identity model. The resulting connector can feed access reviews and usage analysis, and support actions such as revoking access, removing group members or disabling accounts in the connected application.

Oleria says the connector is a structured manifest, not code written by the AI. A deterministic validator operating separately from the model checks each draft and returns errors for correction. After the customer reviews the result, Oleria tests the connection against the live application in the customer’s environment; the company says it does not go live unless that test succeeds.

One day, four integrations

“With Integration Studio, teams can govern an application the very week the business adopts it, viewing every person, workload, and agent with access in one unified place,” said Jagadeesh Kunda, Oleria’s co-founder and CEO. He said the tool is intended to reduce reliance on a vendor’s connector roadmap when a business adopts a new application.

A director of identity and access management at an unnamed entertainment company said the team built four integrations in a single day. The customer said the applications had previously sat outside access reviews for quarters and were now included with usage information to inform decisions. Oleria does not identify the customer in its announcement.

Usage data depends on the application

Integration Studio joins a catalog that Oleria says contains more than 300 ready-to-use integrations, ranging from basic user lifecycle connections to connectors that capture detailed permissions and activity. The company lists services across cloud infrastructure, identity, HR, analytics, developer tools, business software and AI, including AWS, Workday, GitHub, Salesforce, ChatGPT Enterprise and Claude.

Oleria says the new connectors capture usage only when the target application makes audit, login or activity logs available through its API. That condition matters: a connector can bring permissions into governance without necessarily providing the activity data needed to judge whether those permissions are being used. Integration Studio is available now to all Oleria customers at no additional cost.

What Oleria has not quantified

The announcement describes a validation gate and a customer review before deployment, but does not report connector error rates or how often integrations need adjustment after an application changes its API. It also does not say how many customers have used Integration Studio beyond the entertainment company’s four-connector example. Those figures will help show whether a one-day build can remain accurate and useful after the initial connection.
