Dataline is pitching an open market for AI-agent data while promising that unreliable contributions can be screened or penalized. The company announced a $10.6 million funding round on October 31, 2026, saying its network lets agents pay for data feeds and request custom information. Its design gives anyone a route to publish data; its safeguards rely on confidence scores and financial stakes rather than a central gatekeeper.
Dataline’s bet on data agents can buy
The round was co-led by Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital, with participation from Symbolic Capital. Dataline also named Coinbase Ventures and Anagram among its backers, alongside founders and partners from Robinhood, Venmo, Anchorage, NEA, General Catalyst, Jump Capital and FalconX. The company did not disclose individual investment amounts.
Dataline describes its service as a two-sided marketplace. Providers can publish feeds and set a per-call price, while agents can pay through x402, a payment protocol named in the announcement. A single integration is meant to return data with an AI-generated confidence score based on source reliability, freshness and consistency, allowing an agent to flag or refuse a response before acting on it.
Open publishing meets a quality-control test
The network also allows agents or people to post a bounty for information that is not already available as a feed. A provider can claim the request, supply the data and receive payment; Dataline says credentials stay within its gateway and offers an optional zero-knowledge attestation tier for attaching verifiable proof to a response.
For custom requests, providers stake tokens when they submit answers. Dataline says accepted data earns the bounty, while poor data can lead to the provider’s stake being slashed. That mechanism is meant to address the tension between broad access and dependable results, but the announcement does not explain how disputes are assessed or how the reported agent-task success rate is calculated.
“After building AI agents ourselves, we realized that clean and reliable data is the lifeblood of AI.”

Partners include Base and Robinhood Chain
Dataline paired the funding news with an initial “Data Launch” cohort that includes Kite, Aerodrome, Sentient, Sahara, Hyperliquid, Polymarket, Kalshi, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB, Sui and TON, among other projects. The company said builders on Base and Robinhood Chain will receive free access to Dataline. The announcement does not specify how long that access will remain free or which features it includes.
Dataline says its network has processed 19.4 million onchain transactions and recorded a 96.4% agent-task success rate, while its community has grown beyond 300,000 people. Those are company-reported figures; the release does not provide a measurement method or independent validation. It also says the protocol won the 2025 BNB Chain AI Hackathon.
A November auction is the next stated milestone
Dataline plans to hold a Uniswap Continuous Clearing Auction in November on Base and Robinhood Chain, according to the announcement. The release provides no auction date or terms. It presents the raise, partner cohort and planned auction as steps toward expanding the supply of data agents can access, while the network’s stated quality checks still depend on scores and provider stakes working as intended.
