“Building on our successful recruitment agentification, the rollout of Coworker means our teams have access to a single interface that knows candidate history, client context for the moment when human judgment matters the most.”
Denis Machuel, CEO, The Adecco Group
Adecco is expanding Salesforce’s Agentforce Coworker across more than 40 countries after a pilot in the United Kingdom and France. The rollout places Salesforce’s enterprise AI assistant inside daily sales, recruitment and client and candidate engagement workflows, giving employees one interface for information previously spread across dozens of tools.
The Adecco Group announced the deployment on September 15, 2026, in Zurich. The company says the system is powered by Anthropic’s Claude and covered by its unlimited Agentforce 360 enterprise agreement with Salesforce.
Agentforce Coworker Reaches 27,000 Adecco Employees
The new deployment is aimed at 27,000 employees across Adecco’s global operations. The company says its existing AI systems already support recruitment workflows in 10 countries, representing 50% of Adecco business revenues.
Agentforce Coworker extends that work beyond individual recruitment tasks. Sales professionals can use it to identify priority prospects, prepare sales briefs, enrich prospect records and see lead status across teams. Recruiters can select candidates and launch pre-screening, recruiting or onboarding agents from the same environment.
Adecco says the system will also draw on context from more than 2.5 million agent-candidate interactions recorded since April 2025. The company has not disclosed a financial figure for the rollout or provided an independent measurement of productivity gains from the pilot.
From Recruitment Pilot to Company-Wide Interface
The United Kingdom pilot began with high-volume recruitment work, including candidate pre-screening and written exchanges through channels such as SMS and email. Adecco previously said its first large-scale Agentforce implementation helped recruiters handle work outside normal office hours while preserving time for direct conversations with candidates.
The France pilot gave Adecco a second operating environment before the broader deployment. The company describes the early adoption as strong, saying teams began using the system within days. Its stated aim is to move routine information gathering and workflow preparation into the AI interface while leaving relationship-building and judgment to employees.
That division matters in recruitment, where a system can retrieve records or suggest a next action but cannot independently resolve every question about a candidate, client or employment decision. Adecco’s announcement frames Coworker as an employee-facing layer over existing systems rather than a replacement for recruiters or sales staff.
Salesforce Agreement Gives Adecco Unlimited Access
The rollout builds on a multi-year agreement announced by Adecco in March 2026. That agreement gives the group unlimited global access to Agentforce 360 through 2027 and covers its three business units: Adecco, LHH and Akkodis.
Earlier work with Salesforce focused on bringing data together from more than 30 Salesforce instances and other enterprise systems. Adecco said that effort created a single, real-time candidate profile for roughly 27,000 recruiters. The new Coworker deployment uses that connected information for broader employee workflows.
The arrangement gives Adecco room to expand usage without assigning a separate license limit to each new workflow or country. It also ties the deployment to Salesforce’s wider strategy of selling AI agents as part of its customer relationship management platform.
Adecco Places Human Judgment at the End of the Workflow
Machuel described the project as part of a major redesign of work, but the company’s announcement is specific about where it expects people to remain involved. Coworker can surface a prospect, assemble a brief, enrich a record or start an agent-led recruitment process; employees still handle the richer engagement with clients and candidates.
“Our pilot showed strong adoption in a matter of days,” Machuel said. “It frees up our sales teams’ and recruiters to focus on what only humans can do: richer engagement with candidates and clients.”
The practical test for the rollout will be whether that handoff works across more than 40 national operations with different recruiting volumes, customer processes and data environments. For now, Adecco has announced the geographic expansion, the employee reach and the workflows involved, but not a companywide result measured after deployment.
