OpenAI's Hardware organization is hiring a systems software engineer to bring new AI-native silicon from first power-on to a fully integrated system running production-representative models. The work covers bringup and validation strategy, software-driven test coverage across compute, memory, interconnect and I/O, plus diagnostics, telemetry, automation and stress testing. Candidates should have low-level programming in C, C++, Rust or Python, computer architecture knowledge, and firmware, driver and OS debugging experience.
