Waymo's Planner Evaluation team is hiring a staff software engineer to measure how changes to the onboard autonomy software — planner, perception — affect driving quality. The work involves building metrics and signals from simulation and real-world driving logs, statistical analysis, data pipelines, and machine learning, and advising on metric quality.
