Anthropic's Connectivity team is hiring experienced platform or backend engineers to build the infrastructure behind Claude's external tool calls: the MCP proxy that routes every tool call, OAuth and token management, and admin controls that let enterprise IT govern agent permissions. The role covers reliability ownership — SLOs, on-call, incident response — and contributions to the MCP specification and its official Python and TypeScript SDKs. It asks for production distributed-systems experience, independent scoping of multi-month projects, and cross-team communication. The team spans San Francisco and London, with preference for US-based candidates.
