Anthropic is hiring a staff software engineer for the Observability team inside its Infrastructure organization, based in London. The work covers scalable telemetry ingest and storage pipelines for metrics, logs, traces and errors, eBPF-based instrumentation and auto-instrumentation, fleet-wide continuous profiling, and unified query, alerting and AI-assisted diagnostic tooling. The posting asks for hands-on experience operating large-scale observability systems and comfort digging below the application layer into the kernel, network stack or hardware. It prefers 10+ years of relevant experience, production eBPF observability, and accelerator profiling.
