Waymo's Onboard Infrastructure team is hiring a senior embedded engineer to build the in-vehicle infotainment platform for a next-generation in-house system-on-chip. The work spans bootloader and device-tree bring-up, Linux kernel and AOSP customization, vendor HALs for in-house hardware IP, and tuning for boot time, scheduling, power and thermals. The posting asks for a technical degree, three or more years in embedded or low-level Android, C/C++ plus Python or Shell, and hands-on AOSP and kernel work. Requirements are still being defined. Android Automotive OS experience is preferred.
