Amazon Shipping is hiring a Senior Applied Scientist in Gurugram to lead ML teams building large-scale forecasting and optimization systems for its global transportation network. The role sets scientific direction, mentors applied scientists, and partners with engineering and product leaders on production models spanning tree-based methods, deep learning (LSTMs, transformers), LLMs and reinforcement learning. It owns end-to-end business metrics and includes publication and conference work. Requirements: 3+ years building ML models for business use, a PhD or master's plus six years of applied research, and Java, C++, or Python.
