Amazon's Alexa Enterprise team is hiring a Senior Applied Scientist in Seattle, on-site. The role sets scientific direction for speech-to-text accuracy and improves the latency and performance of end-to-end audio pipelines, covering model evaluation, fine-tuning, datasets, benchmarks and real-time inference. The person works with enterprise customers in healthcare, energy, retail and insurance, and with engineers to productionize models. A small team bridging Alexa AI and AWS, it asks for 3+ years building ML models, a PhD or a Master's with 6+ years of applied research, and programming in Java, C++ or Python.
