Baseten is hiring a software engineer for its Agent Infra team, building the networking stack behind microVM sandboxes that run AI agents. The work is writing, in Rust, Go or C/C++, a user-space VPP data plane: multi-tenant GENEVE and EVPN overlays, per-sandbox IPv6 addressing, secure ingress and egress, L7 proxies, and routing that survives sandbox suspend and resume. The posting asks for production experience with DPDK, VPP or VNFs, TCP/IP, and proxies or load balancers at scale. The team is small, and the role is separate from GPU-to-GPU networking.
