xAI is hiring a software engineer for its Platform Core team to build the Linux-based operating system and device drivers behind its AI supercomputers. The work covers the lowest layers of the stack: writing or rewriting high-performance drivers for network and compute hardware, managing deployment and debugging in production, improving observability and configuration tooling, and bringing up new hardware with hardware teams and external partners.
