Baseten, which runs inference for AI companies, is hiring for a founding role on a new identity and authorization team in enterprise engineering. The engineer owns the platform's authorization model, credential systems and admin controls: per-resource permissions, short-lived workload credentials, agent credentials scoped to a task, plus SSO, SCIM and session policies. The posting wants 4–5+ years of production backend work and hands-on design of a fine-grained authorization system such as OpenFGA, SpiceDB or Cedar, with end-to-end ownership; Python and Go are preferred.
