OpenAI's Security organization seeks a Software Engineer for its Host Assurance team, which makes bare-metal and VM hosts trustworthy before they run production workloads. The engineer designs, builds and operates services and host software covering machine identity, certificate issuance, secure bootstrap, host attestation and firmware validation, owning components through rollout, monitoring, runbooks and on-call. The posting asks for strong production software experience and depth in distributed systems, backend, platform engineering, operating systems or infrastructure security; PKI, HSM and secure-boot experience is useful but not required.
