Cursor is hiring a software engineer for its Core Services team in San Francisco or New York. The person owns shared backend services sitting between product surfaces and the infrastructure layer: authentication architecture, a high-throughput webhook server with retries and dead-letter queues, the backend behind agent workflows, abstractions over source control providers, and end-to-end agent reliability with client and inference teams. The posting asks for experience operating critical backend services such as auth, API gateways or webhooks, strong engineering fundamentals and full lifecycle ownership. Agentic experience is a plus.
