Waymo's Hardware Engineering group is hiring a senior systems engineer for vehicle body control — doors, locks, windows, HVAC, lighting and digital key functions on its autonomous vehicle platforms. The work covers requirements and architecture with internal teams and external OEMs, embedded software and hardware specifications, power mode and digital key development, and verification and validation. It asks for an electrical, robotics or mechatronics degree, three years in automotive body controls, and knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, LIN or Ethernet networks. The schedule is hybrid.
