Waymo's ML Frameworks & Efficiency team is hiring a senior engineer to build and tune infrastructure for evaluating the models behind the Waymo Driver. Work spans distributed evaluation platforms, profiling CPU, memory, I/O and network bottlenecks, inference speed and goodput, metrics computation, and tools including ML Pathways, JAX, Flume and TensorFlow. Requirements: a B.S. or equivalent experience, distributed systems design, Python and C++, profiling; an M.S. and LLM evaluation work are preferred. The team works with researchers and modeling engineers across the company, and the evaluation scenarios are specific to autonomous driving.
