Shield AI's Autonomous Pilot Integration team for launched effects builds autonomy software for small air- and ground-launched platforms that operate in multi-agent fleets, often in disconnected environments. The senior engineer writes new autonomy code — mission behaviors, platform-specific control, multi-agent coordination, contingencies, executive autonomy — and owns features from design through deployment, working with autopilot vendors such as PX4 and ArduPilot, C2 providers and customer partners. Validation spans software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, vehicle-in-the-loop and live test exercises, for U.S. and international defense customers. The role is on-site in Washington, D.C.
