Shield AI's Autonomous Pilot Integration team for Emerging Domains builds autonomy for platforms outside its existing portfolios: space, maritime USVs and UUVs, and contested logistics such as unmanned helicopters. The engineer writes new autonomy code — mission behaviors, platform-specific control, multi-agent coordination, contingencies, executive autonomy — and owns it through software-, hardware- and vehicle-in-the-loop testing to live exercises.
