The AI Foundations team at Waymo develops machine-learning methods for autonomous driving, covering reinforcement learning, generative modeling and robust evaluation. This senior research role centers on training data: choosing mixtures and curricula for foundation models, building pipelines that refresh those mixtures as new data arrives, and deploying data-selection algorithms such as influence estimation and gradient similarity search.
