Roku's Data Science team is hiring a Senior Research Data Scientist in New York to lead a causal inference platform that measures the incremental impact of customer actions and business decisions. The work spans estimation methods, long-term outcome frameworks, validation standards at scale, and productionizing causal pipelines alongside Engineering, informing growth, retention and monetization strategy. Roku asks for a PhD in economics, econometrics or statistics, 10+ years applying causal inference and machine learning, and proficiency in Spark, Python, SQL and libraries such as XGBoost or LightGBM.
