Waymo's Compute Team is hiring a senior architect for custom silicon that runs the autonomous driving software stack. The role covers analyzing ML workloads and mapping them to hardware, designing and simulating machine learning accelerators, and working with compiler and model developers on architecture trade-offs. Required: a BS in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent experience, three or more years architecting CPUs, GPUs or ML accelerators, at least one year with ML architectures and optimization, and strong C++. Modeling architectures in cycle-aware simulators is preferred.
