Cohere seeks a senior machine learning engineer to own the synthetic data pipeline behind its language models. The work covers designing scalable inference pipelines on large GPU clusters, running data ablations and mixture experiments to test data quality, and researching synthetic data curation methods, using web, code and multilingual corpora. Requirements include strong Python and pipeline-building skills, familiarity with data frameworks such as Spark, Beam or Pandas, and hands-on LLM inference experience (vLLM, TensorRT). The role is remote-friendly, with collaboration across Eastern to Central European time zones.
